Real Wedding - Classically English & A Gorgeous Gown

Well, it's a lovely Good Friday holiday here in the UK today and the sun is shining on us all - perfect English weather! And today, I'm so happy to share another slice of English perfection in the shape of this classically elegant wedding from the lens of the amazing James Davidson. I've known James for some years after we met at a winter's day wedding when the sun wasn't shining quite as much!

I just love this wedding - it's oh-so English. The country church, the chaps in tails and mismatched waistcoats, the cream roses, the guests in their finery and hats, the walk to the ceremony & reception, the marquee, the country house and the most beautiful bride. And her gown, oooh, her gown. It's just stunning. The venue in question is the delightful Yarlington House in Somerset and I think it's the perfect backdrop to this day. So, without more rambling from me, welcome to the wedding of Lucy & Mark...

Above - rolling hill, blue skies with fluffy clouds, a church nestling in amongst the green trees. Honestly, how perfect is this?

Above - Order of Service with green gingham bows await their big moment...

Above - the boys wend their way to the ceremony...

Above - love the smiles and affection in this image.

Above - oooh, a tantalising glimpse of the back of Lucy's gown...

Above - a stolen kiss in the vintage car captured!

Above - Yarlington House in all it's glory.

Above - love the little candles in those weathered terracotta pots.

Above - I. Love. That. Gown.
